To prepare for the spring semester, ITS will offer classroom technology training sessions and classroom visit days for faculty. The purpose of these sessions are to provide an overview of the technology in our classrooms, an opportunity to visit a classroom to work with the technology and to ask questions of our ITS staff.
Classroom Technology Training
The classroom technology sessions will be offered both in-person and online the week of 01.18. ITS will cover the following topics:
- Controlling all components of the classroom audio visual system
- Using Zoom
- Using Panopto
- How to get assistance during class
The sessions will include a brief presentation on the above-mentioned topics, as well as some time afterwards for questions and discussion. They will be held in the following rooms from 10am – 12pm:
- 1/19 – Underground Lecture Hall 005
- 1/20 – Busch Student Center Wool Ballroom (170)
- 1/21 – CGC Auditorium
- 1/22 – Allied Health 1043 (Large auditorium)
To register for the training session you would like to attend, please fill out the form found here. You can select multiple sessions if you’d like. Calendar invites will be sent out by the end of 1/15 from ITS.
Classroom Visit Days
The classroom visits will offer faculty the opportunity to drop in, use the classroom technology and ask questions of the ITS staff. ITS has selected a variety of classroom configurations to provide you with the opportunity to visit your classroom or one similar.
These classrooms will be open from 10AM-12PM & 1PM-3PM each day. Please drop in and ITS staff will do their best to make sure you are comfortable with the classroom technology while observing safe, social distancing practices.
