SLU faculty and graduate student instructors are invited to attend the 2023 Focus on Teaching and Technology Conference on September 29 and October 6. This year’s conference is a two-day event with September 29 featuring virtual sessions and a keynote from Bridget Arend on intentional, meaningful teaching. The in-person sessions and workshops on October 6 feature discussions on various teaching and technology topics, such as generative AI, contemplative pedagogy, and gamification as well as an award-winning teaching panel.
The conference is a great opportunity to learn new technologies and network with other instructors who are incorporating technology, both effectively and intentionally, in their courses.
You have the option of registering for both days, or just one, by using the 2023 FTTC Conference Registration Form. Because Saint Louis University is an institutional sponsor, faculty registration is free if you select SLU in the dropdown list during registration. Graduate student registration is $25 for one or both days. The deadline for registration is Tuesday, September 26, 2023.
Also consider nominating a colleague for the conferences’ Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Award. The award is for any instructor that fosters inclusion, diversity, and equity in online, blended, and in-person teaching settings through innovative course design and/or instruction. Nominations are due Friday, August 18, 2023.
